The body of a canoeist lost at Jordanelle Reservoir last Sunday was found Friday morning.

Search and rescue crews spotted Christopher David Kugler, 27, with underwater cameras at approximately 10:40 a.m. Friday, Wasatch County Sheriff's Lt. Ken Van Wagoner said, and his body was recovered soon after. Because murky water and stormy weather prevented searchers from diving, the teams had to rely on underwater sonar equipment and cameras.

Kugler and Larry Craig, 29, were canoeing on Jordanelle Sunday afternoon when winds, hail and sleet capsized their canoes. Neither man was wearing a life jacket, although Craig was rescued by two women who spotted him floating in the reservoir.
