Salerno-Sonnenberg concert is off

The Utah Symphony has announced that violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, who was scheduled to perform with the orchestra in a "Special Event" concert at Abravanel Hall on Tuesday, March 13, has suddenly become indisposed due to illness.

According to Salerno-Sonnenberg's manager, the violinist recently underwent surgery to have an infection in her neck treated, and will be unable to play the violin for at least two more weeks.

The Utah Symphony has decided to cancel the March 13 concert, since no suitable replacement has been found for Salerno-Sonnenberg.

Ticket holders are being notified immediately by mail of their ticket options, including obtaining a refund.
