UTA detouring 22 bus lines

The Utah Transit Authority has detoured 22 bus routes during construction of the University TRAX light-rail extension.

The adjustments are necessary because of road closures on Main between 200 and 400 South, where the extension will connect with the existing north-south TRAX line.

The detours will remain in effect until midsummer. During that time, there will be no bus service on Main between 800 South and South Temple, nor on 400 South between 300 West and 1100 East.

Buses headed in the opposite direction will follow the reverse of the routes listed below.

Routes 1, 2, 3, 18,19 and 20 will follow State south to 200 South, go west on 200 South to West Temple and north on West Temple to resume their regular routes.

Routes 16, 17, 34 and 4 will follow State south to 200 South, turn west on 200 South to 400 West, south on 400 West to 400 South and west on 400 South to resume their regular routes.

Routes 801, 802, 803, 804 and 347 will follow State south to 200 South, go west on 200 South to 400 West, south on 400 West to 400 South and west on 400 South to resume their regular routes.

Routes 442 and 23 will follow Main north to 800 South, turn west on 800 South to West Temple, north on West Temple to North Temple and resume their regular routes.

Routes 11 and 53 will follow State north to 400 South and resume their regular routes, north on State, at that point.

Routes 124 and 125 will follow State north to 500 South, go west on 500 South to West Temple, then north on West Temple to resume their regular routes.

Route 51 will follow State south to 200 South, turn west on 200 South to 400 West, south on 400 West to 500 South and west on 500 South to its regular route.
