Walter Harris Froisland, Sr., age 92, passed away February 28, 2001 in Salt Lake City.
Born in Salt Lake City, May 10, 1908, on the first official Mother's Day, to Laurence A. Froisland and Amanda M. Peterson Froisland. Married Phyllis Halladay Froisland, January 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. Member of the LDS Church and a lifetime member of Elks Club. Harris was a cowboy, hard-rock miner, rancher, tavern owner, father and husband. He witnessed the passing of the horse and buggy and saw man walk on the moon.
Survived by his children: Judith F. Harwell, Bonnie J. Harris, Dallas R. Froisland, Patricia Riley, Walter H. Froisland, Jr. (Frosty).
Preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis H. Froisland.
Graveside services will be held on Sat., March 3, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Drive.
