"Sweethearts" <! >
BOUNTIFUL/LOGAN--<! > Garnet Dale Mangus Wells died Saturday, March 3, 2001 in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born April 28, 1913 to Walter Lee and Rose Lee Thompson Mangus in Logan, West Virginia. Dale lived in West Virginia and Byron, Wyoming during her formative years. She and her older sister Ruth worked in Fort Worth, Texas where they had great experiences and fun.
Married Alan F. Wells, March 11, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Dale and Alan lived on the Avenues in Salt Lake City for many years and then moved to Logan, Utah where they made many wonderful friends and found true contentment. Although never blessed with children of their own, every niece and nephew was nurtured, loved and made to feel they belonged to Auntie and Unc. Christmases were always special to "their" children because of their generosity. She was the "hostess with the mostest". Paper cups and paper plates were profane in her eyes.
Survived by one sister, Mildred Despain; three brothers, Harry (Jessie) Mangus, Glen Mangus, Bennie (Nola) Mangus; many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Alan F. Wells; parents, Walter and Rose Mangus; sisters, Ruth Murdock, Hester Mangus, Edith Bonner, LaMatha Hartung, Myra Adams, and Ula Collins; sisters-in-law, Leola Mangus and Jean Mangus; brothers, Clarence Mangus, LeGrand Mangus.
Funeral services will be held Thurs., March 8, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
