Toddler is thawed out and thriving

One-year-old Erika Nordby plays with a toy in her Edmonton hospital room in Alberta, Canada, after having her bandages removed from her hands. Doctors continue to marvel at the speedy recovery of the toddler who nearly froze to death last month. They say that the little girl will likely not lose her feet, even though she may end up walking with some limited disability. She wandered outside while her mother and sister were sleeping and had been clinically dead for two hours when she was discovered.
