Auditions have been scheduled for the following regional stage productions.
"The Seagull," Anton Chekhov's classic drama, on Tuesday, March 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Room 101 of the Performing Arts Building at the U. (directly west of the campus bookstore), and on Wednesday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., in Room B201 of the Harris Fine Arts Center at Brigham Young University.
The production, being directed by Kathy Biesinger, will play April 19-22 in the Rose Wagner Center. The company will also host a staged reading of Tim Slover's new play, "Hancock County," on April 20.
"I Came to Your Wedding," a family comedy by Ruth and Nathan Hale, on Wednesday, March 14, at Hale Center Theater Orem. There will be cold readings from the script. All auditions are by appointment only. Call 226-8600 to schedule a time slot.
Dave Hansen is directing a cast that requires men and women, 20 to 65 years of age, and some teenagers, 16 to 18. Performances will be May 11-June 11.
Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella," on Saturday, March 17, at 1 p.m., at Draper Historic Theatre, 12366 S. 900 East.
Come prepared to sing 16 bars of music. All auditioners should come dressed to dance. An accompanist will be provided. Those auditioning for major speaking roles should come prepared with two 30-second, contrasting monologues. There are roles for adults, youths and children.
"Annie Get Your Gun," on Wednesday, March 21, from 7-9 p.m., and Thursday, March 22, from 7-9:30 p.m., at West Jordan City Hall, 8000 S. Redwood Road.
Rosalie Richards is directing the West Jordan Performing Arts group production. All roles are open. Men, women and children, 12 and up, are invited to audition. Come prepared to sing 16 bars of an upbeat Broadway show tune. An accompanist will be provided (no tapes please). Performances will be June 14-22.
