Lowe's site caters to kids

Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse has expanded its children-oriented "Great Safety Adventure" program to a new Web site www.CodeRedRover.org. It's an entertaining and educational site designed to raise awareness about preventable home injuries and offers advice on home-safety practices.

The site features an array of games and activities, including "The Escape Artist," which focuses on creating an emergency escape plan; "Who Wants to be a Safety Hound?" — which helps youngsters increase their home-safety knowledge, and several activities starring Rover, the Web site's official mascot. Kids from 8 to 11 years of age can also accrue up to 50,000 points while playing the games, qualifying them to enter a quarterly contest with a grand prize of $2,500, to be split equally between the winning entrant and his/her school.
