Allene Catherine Calder Hansen, age 62 died Thursday March 29, 2001 in Provo, Utah.
Allene was born on April 18,1938 in Salt Lake City, the daugh-ter of Zelph and Tess Calder. She married Richard Allan Hansen on April 4, 1968. Allene graduated with her Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, and later obtained her Master's from the University of Oregon. Allene taught home economics and mentored student teacher's for several years at BYU prior to starting a family. Allene loved to entertain and travel but was most dedicated to her family and raising her son and daughter. She was a devoted member of the LDS Church, and was a member of several organizations and activities in her ward. Allene will be dearly missed, and remembered fondly by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Richard, son Christian, daughter Melinda, two grandson's Drake and Korin, and her sister Carole.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2001 at 12 noon at the 6th Ward, Sunset Heights Chapel; 530 South 600 West. A viewing will precede the funeral beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Hills.
