MAGNA - <! > McKay Pollock "Pops" was born February 6, 1926 in Provo, Utah to Albert and Fontella Marshall Pollock. He struggled valiantly for the past seven years and peacefully left this earth during his sleep on a beautiful spring morning, March 30, 2001.

McKay married his sweetheart, Maureen Buckle in Bingham Canyon May 23, 1947. Pops loved life and people. He proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy. He was employed at Kennecott Copper Refinery as an electrician for forty years.

McKay is survived by his best friend, loving wife, and caretaker of 52 years, Maureen; son, Steven Mckay (Janis) Pollock; daughter, Sharron Dee (Neil) Bawden; adored grandchildren, Amanda Jo, Brett Trevor, Adam Steven, Lyndee Kay, Jamie Nicole; brothers, Jack (Faye), Al (Beth); and sisters, Delana Long, Geri Mang. Preceded in death by father and mother.

Walk now without struggle.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tues. April 3, 2001 at the Pleasant Green Chapel, 8739 W. 3000 S. Friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S, Magna, and Tues. 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
