Glen William Lehmitz, age 82, died March 28, 2001 in West Jordan.
Born October 22, 1918 in West Jordan, a son of William and Ruth Mary Allmen-dinger Lehmitz Jr. Married Mary Carol Malmstrom April 9, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Glen was an active member of the LDS Church, having held many positions. He was a Temple Worker in the Jordan River Temple. He worked at Kennecott. He loved farming, draft horses and horse pulling. He never met a stranger, only a new friend. All will miss his quick wit and sense of humor.
Survived by his wife of West Jordan; children: Paul (Teresa) Lehmitz of West Jordan; Darryl
(Selma) Lehmitz of South Jordan; Carol (Erban) Green of CA; 17 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Roy of South Jordan; Ruth Christiansen of West Valley City; Harvey (Lorraine) of WA; Dorothy (Ted) Seal of West Jordan; Dean (Evelyn) of West Jordan; Fern (Keith) Beckstead of AZ; Don of Riverton; Shirley (Jeff) Newman of Riverton. Preceded in death by son Cole.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Jordan Oaks Stake Center, 8035 South Leslie Drive (3905 West 8070 South), where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment Wight's Fort Cemetery. Services under the direction of Independent Funeral Service.
