I recently quit my lucrative job, which I loved, to stay home with my second, third and fourth child.

I have been to spelling bees, knowledge bowls, school, district and state science fairs, my children's school musicals, plays, school performances, field trips, piano recitals, cheerleading competition, Scout courts of honor, Eagle courts of honor, soccer games, basketball games, wrestling meets, cross-country and track meets.

My first child received a four-year academic scholarship to the college of his choice. The second child isn't far behind.

Just think, I have saved thousands! Now I don't have to go back to work to put my children through college. I traded in my job for things money can't buy.

So don't blame teachers for your child's bad grades. Blame yourself. They work eight plus hours a day with large classroom sizes. We need more support from parents, working and nonworking parents. If parents don't care, the children won't care.

How do I spell success? S-U-P-P-O-R-T!
