Salt Lake City Council, please don't use the proposed convoluted hyphenated names for the new light-rail stations. Keep to one simple name per station so the stations can be decorated with a single theme.

When deciding these names look at existing and future station names. The station names should be: City Hall, Trolley Square, Gilgal Garden, University Stadium, University Library, University Sports Center, University Fort Douglas and University Medical Center. I suggest City Hall instead of Library Square since City Hall is more important and sounds better — more like a Monopoly game. There will already be a university library station on this same line. It would be confusing if there were two library stations. I suggest Trolley Square instead of Trolley since we all know the area as Trolley Square.

This would also be less confusing for tourists. I suggest putting University at the beginning of each university station to designate it is a University of Utah station. I suggest University Sports Center instead of Huntsman Center since I don't like the idea of naming a station after someone just because they have donated money to something else.

If Huntsman Center is used, then, out of fairness, Ballpark and University Stadium would have to be named after their respective donors as well. If the second to last station is not near Fort Douglas, then call it University East.
