ST. GEORGE (AP) — Snow Canyon High School teacher Loren Mercer has been accused of sexually abusing a former student.
Mercer, 30, St. George, was arrested Thursday and charged with forcible sexual abuse.
The alleged victim, who is 19, told police Wednesday that she had been "inappropriately touched by an old high school teacher," said St. George police Lt. Dennis Bailey.

She said that as she was walking through a parking lot, the man approached, touched her over her clothes in an aggressive manner, and repeated the acts after she told him to stop.
