Police have arrested the second suspect wanted in a March 13 shootout at a Salt Lake pawnshop.
FBI agents arrested the 20-year-old West Valley man without incident Wednesday about 9 a.m. in Los Angeles.
The man is being held in a Los Angeles jail awaiting extradition to Salt Lake City. Robbery detectives from the Salt Lake City Police Department tried to interview the man Thursday in L.A., but he refused to talk, Sgt. Jim Coleman said.
According to police, two men entered Pickles Pawn Shop, 1514 S. State, March 13 at 11:15 a.m. and fired warning shots at customers, who were ordered to lie on the floor.
Two pawnshop owners heard the gunshots, ducked behind a counter at the store's rear and returned fire. The robbers retreated and fired at least one more round toward prone customers, police said.
The robbers fled into an alley, where they entered a getaway car occupied by two females. Police arrested the first man, 19, after he went to a Pocatello hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound he suffered during the shootout.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Both men have been charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.
