The trends in the world, where traditional values are not fastened down by the "rivets of the Restoration," they are sliding swiftly. The results are a mixture of boredom and violence. We trek through a wilderness of cultures ambivalent about setting limits.

"Yes, we have unprecedented mass entertainment and communications — but so many lonely crowds. The togetherness of technology is no substitute for the family."

It is not too late for some to become pioneering disciples in their families. Paul urges us to "plow in hope." Hope feasts on the words of Christ. Those who "plow in hope" understand the law of the harvest. Ultimate hope is tied to Jesus and the great Atonement.

Putting off the natural man makes possible putting on the whole armor of God. A slothful heart and a resentful heart will not do. The 'fellowship of his suffering' requires the full dues of discipleship.

"The infinite Atonement is so vast and universal, but finally, it is so very personal!"

We can't afford to be without hope and love as we trek through our " Sinais of circumstance!" And "all these things shall give thee experience and shall be for thy good" as we "plow enduringly to the end of the row," "glorifying him."
