"There is a difference in just attending the temple and having a rich spiritual experience. The real blessings of the temple come as we enhance our temple experience. To do so, we must feel a spirit of reverence for the temple and a spirit of worship."

Reverence, an expression of deep respect, honor and adoration, "is an outward indication of an inner feeling that we have for (the Savior.) We should always remember that it is by his invitation that we come to his holy house, the temple of the Lord."

Those who attend the temple should be prepared and should make temple attendance a priority in their lives. "While in the temple, we should act as if we are in his holy presence."

"The temple is a place of worship. Reverence is a supernal form of worship. It is the form of worship found in the celestial kingdom."

To enhance the experience, templegoers must leave the world behind and seek to gain added light and knowledge. Thoughts should be centered on the events taking place, and conversation should be hushed and reverent.

"It is inappropriate to discuss matters of business, pleasure or current events in the temple." The Holy Ghost is the teacher in the temple. He teaches principles of eternal significance and helps church members see the relationship between the earthly and the eternal. He teaches only those who are teachable. "If we enter the temple seeking light and knowledge, we can learn and understand something new during the temple experience."
