Leon Peterson passed away unexpectedly April 2, 2001 in Gainesville, Florida. He was born July 19, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Leon loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was devoted to his wife, family and friends.
Leon joined the Army in 1960 and was stationed in Germany. He was on the All-Army Swimming Team and served as a Teletype operator. Leon was a 35-year member of Local 19 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Royal Order of the Elks.
Leon is survived by his wife of 17 years, Debbie Peterson; son Scott (Kristin) Peterson; daughter Jody (Nick) Craft; sisters, Glenda Lyn and Diane; brothers, Gale and David; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Emily Ann
Peterson and parents Glen and Luella Peterson.
