Camino Real Foods Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of its five-ounce Tina's Red Hot Beef burritos, which were distributed to Utah, Arizona and southern California.

Consumers are advised that burritos purchased between March 12 and March 30, with a date code of V10603 or U10603, may have been contaminated with an ammonia-based refrigerant. Effects of the refrigerant include a noticeably bad taste, temporary irritation of the mouth, throat and gastrointestinal tract. There are no known long-term health effects with this level of exposure to the refrigerant, the company stated.

Customers who purchased the contaminated burritos may return them to the retailer from which they were purchased for a full refund.
