A 43-year-old man was charged Friday with failure to stop at the scene of an accident in Midvale involving three children.
The youths were struck by a white station wagon while in a crosswalk April 16. Two suffered broken bones and the third received several cuts and bruises. According to a court document, the driver left his car while he took his own children to their home three blocks away. There his wife persuaded him to return to the scene.
The driver faces three misdemeanor charges, including failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
