TRACK & FIELD: Charles Clinger (6-9, 210 Sr.) has been named the Big Sky Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Clinger leaped 7-6 in the high jump in last Saturday's Mark Faldmo Invitational in Logan, Utah.

It is the best mark in the outdoor collegiate ranks this season and automatically qualifies him for the 2001 NCAA Div. I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 31-June 2 in Eugene, Ore.

The 7-6 leap is the second best mark in Big Sky history behind his own conference and school record of 7-7.

Clinger also had a long-jump mark of 22-6 in the meet.

PRINCE SIGNS WITH JAGS: Weber State tight end Ryan Prince (6-5, 255 / Farmington — Davis HS) has signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Prince earned First Team All-American honors in 2000 and First Team All-Big Sky Conference honors. He had 49 catches for 602 yards and 6 touchdowns last fall and ended his four years at Weber State with 91 receptions for 1,256 yards and 7 TDs. He was selected and played in this year's East-West Shrine All-Star game.
