FARMINGTON-<! > Esther Wallace West, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, aunt, sister and friend was reunited with her sweetheart, Wayne, on March 31, 2001 at the age of 74.

Esther was born January 17, 1927 to James Newton and Clara Mackay Wallace. She was the 8th of 12 children. As a child, she lived on a farm in Taylorsville and later moved to a farm in Clearfield where she graduated from Davis High. She worked as a unit supervisor at the Naval Supply Depot where she met her eternal companion, Wayne White West. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 14, 1947.

Esther's greatest joy was her family. She cared for, taught, protected and raised seven children. She was an outstanding homemaker and mother. She enjoyed sports, cooking, sewing, painting, playing the piano, singing, crocheting and quilting. She was a devoted companion and she unselfishly cared for her husband for many years when his health declined. He passed away on May 28, 1994.

As a member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary, Relief Society, as well as the ward organist. Her most fulfilling calling was working in the Bountiful Temple. She rendered many hours of compassionate service to friends and neighbors.

Of the 52 years she lived in the same home in Farmington, the past four and a half were filled with extra love, patience and compassion by her daughter Kathy. It was comforting to Mom to remain in her home after suffering two debilitating strokes. Thank you Kathy!

She is survived by her seven children: Brent (Debby) of Fayetteville, Georgia; Jan (Mark) Stringham, Farmington; Randy (Stacey), Farming-ton; David (Roberta) Centerville; Craig (Susan) Clearfield; Kathy Williams, Farmington; Paula (Dennis) McGuire, Woods Cross; 23 grand-children; four great-grandchildren; eight brothers and one sister. Preceded in death by her husband Wayne, brother Asael, sister Edna.
