NEW YORK (AP) — A 13-year-old brought a stun gun to his junior high school where, police say, he and nine friends used it on themselves. Four received minor burns.

The eight-grader was charged Wednesday night as a juvenile with third-degree assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. He was released into the custody of his mother.

Police learned of the incident when a boy went to a school nurse with a mark on his stomach. He said the mark came from a stun gun, and the nurse contacted school authorities who called police.
