WEST JORDAN — A man was killed just after 8 a.m. Thursday in an industrial accident.
The man, 57, was an employee at P.W. Pipe, 8275 S. 4460 West. He was loading 8-foot spool ends onto a forklift when eight to 10 spools fell on him, West Jordan police Capt. Gary Cox said.
The man, whose identity was not released Thursday morning, was killed instantly after being pinned between the spools and the forklift, Cox said. The spools weigh between 25-30 pounds each.
