Police have issued a $250,000 arrest warrant for the man they say killed Isaul M. Parra at Sky Harbor Apartment Complex Saturday.

Daniel Montes, 22, address unknown, was charged with criminal homicide, a first-degree felony, and theft, a second-degree felony, Thursday in 3rd District Court. By Friday morning police were still looking for Montes.

A witness who lived in the apartment, at 1876 W. North Temple, told detectives he was sleeping in the same room as Parra and Montes, charges state. The witness woke up hearing Parra scream, "I have been stabbed," charges state.

Montes allegedly fled the scene. Parra was behind him but soon returned because of the stab wound, 2.5 inches long and 5.75 inches deep, made him unable to give chase, charges state.

Witnesses said Parra's Ford Taurus was taken about the same time Montes allegedly fled the scene.
