UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI BAND, today, 7 p.m., Amphitheater, Old Main Hill, Utah State University, Logan; Friday, July 6, 8 p.m., Brigham Young Historic Park, free. The concert will feature such works as "The Star Spangled Banner," "Amazing Grace" and many others.

THE NORBEST BIRCHCREEK BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL, Friday and Saturday, July 6-7, at the Birchcreek Ranch at Fountain Green. Music will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 6; Saturday's shows will begin at 1 p.m. Artists featured will include the Grasshoppers, Kanes River, Crucial Smith, Salt Lake City Calvary Baptist Church Choir, Anke Summerhill, John Pantano, Brenn Hill Band and Gift Horse. NACHTMUSIK, Saturday, July 7, 8 p.m., Sandy City Amphitheater. The "Mozart Under the Stars" concert will feature a variety of the composer's works. Tickets are $8 to $15, available at the door.

THE 16TH ANNUAL SPRINGVILLE WORLD FOLKFEST, July 7-14, at Spring Acres Arts Park, 620 S. 1350 East, Springville. All performances begin at 8 p.m., except Saturday's opening reception, which begins at 3 p.m. Folk dancers from Albania, Belgium, China, Greece, India, Israel, Macedonia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Uganda and the United States will be represented.
