Husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Harold David Horrocks, passed away at the age of 94, Wed. June 27, 2001 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Harold was born Sept 12, 1906 in Jensen, UT to David and Caroline Dudley Horrocks. He mar-ried Marguerite Eloise Charon, July 30, 1938. She passed away Nov 18, 1973. In Harold's later years a very dear friend and companion was Stella Bustos. She died Dec 16, 1999, at the age of 89.
Harold was brilliant in the field of electronics and was employed for 30 plus years with the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) as an electrical engineer. He retired in July, 1973. In the 1940's he was an Aircraft Engine Mechanic at the Hill Air Force Army Depot. He loved working on airplanes and was proud to be one of the top engine troubleshooters. Harold enjoyed music from the Big Band era and was an avid ballroom dancer well into his 80's.
He is survived by daughters, Helen Thornton, Marnie (Gary) Pendleton; son, Harold Jay (Loretta) Horrocks; sister, Vella (Ben) Pilati; four grandchildren, Geri Martin, Stacy Ann (Leonard) Burningham, Harold Jay Horrocks, Jr., Andrea Scoffield; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marion R. Horrocks; and sister, LaVerna Beecroft.
Graveside services, Tues. July 3, 2001, 12 noon, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E., where friends may call one hour prior to services.
