TUCSON — For 30 minutes Friday night, the Utah Blitzz stunk.
Then coach Chris Agnello made a key substitution, and the final hour was Blitzz brilliance.
Utah rallied from a three-goal deficit to knock off the Tucson Fireballs 4-3. Utah improved to 7-1-0 in Division 3 action with the win while Tucson dropped to 1-0-7.
"We came out and played terrible in the first half hour," said Agnello. "Then we put Kevin Noleen in for Alejandro Guttierez and that sparked our offense."
Noleen has been the Blitzz's super-sub all year, so his goal 10 minutes after entering the game wasn't really a surprise. Still, the Blitzz trailed 3-1 at the half.
Early in the second half, Rich Breza and Jorge Estrada scored goals 10 minutes apart to tie the score, and then Breza tallied the game-winner in the final 10 minutes on an assist from John Cairel.
Utah returns to action Saturday when it faces the Arizona (1-0-8) Sahuaros.
