Lynn Fratto, wife of the late Charlie Fratto, was recently named the first recipient of the Charlie Fratto Humanitarian Award during the Footprinters national convention in Lincoln, Neb.

Lynn Fratto, a member of the Salt Lake City Footprinters Chapter No. 3, was awarded the honor June 30 for her humanitarian efforts with her late husband. The award was voted on by the Footprinters' five national vice presidents and will be given out annually.

Other Utah Footprinters honored at the convention included Tom Gagnon, Salt Lake Chapter No. 3, for outstanding secretary of the year.

South Ogden police officers Shane Read, Bryan Hough and Brian Schultz were named as the outstanding law enforcement officers of the year for rescuing four people trapped inside a burning house last Aug. 11.
