SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police released new composite sketches Wednesday of the man they believed stabbed Jess Alan Dummar to death June 5 as he stepped off a UTA bus at State Street near 2300 South.

Three key witnesses were interviewed again this week, said South Salt Lake Assistant Police Chief Beau Babka. Based on those interviews, artists came up three composites of the man. They are similar but have slight variations.

Investigators are hoping someone will recognize at least one of the composites and contact the police department.<

"We are asking for help," Babka said. "We know these crimes are solved by people who know the truth."

Babka said investigators are still actively pursuing the case and are waiting for key forensics tests to be returned from the State Crime Lab.
