A Utah man has been indicted on a federal felony charge after being accused of calling the FBI last March and asking "What if I kill your president? What do you think about that?"

Court documents state David Robert Griese, 47, called back a few minutes later and an agent got his name, address and phone number.

Investigators went to Griese's home, where he admitted making the calls but denied making threats against President Bush.

Violation of the statute under which Griese was charged carries a sentence of up to five years in federal prison.
