AURORA, UT <! > - Effie Novella Madsen Taylor, 90, of Aurora, Utah, died July 14, 2001 at her daughter's home in Fairview, Utah.
She was born May 3, 1911 in Aurora to George Sern and Effie Mae Mason Madsen. She married George Glen Taylor, Aug 22, 1929 in Richfield, UT. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Dec 11, 1994.
She was an active member of the LDS Church where served in many capacities. She loved to fish and camp. She enjoyed writing, gardening and cooking. She and Amy Curtis sewed the burial clothing for many years in Aurora.
She is survived by children, Maxine (Rex) Adams, Fairview, Mavis (Verl) Bastian, North Ogden, Garry (Jan) Taylor, Eagle, ID, Brent (Pam) Taylor, Levan; 36 grandchildren; 104 great-grandchildren; 37 great great-grand-children; brother, Ivan (Nola) Madsen, Aurura; sisters, Audra (Harve) Oldroyd, Glenwood, Verla Jensen, Salt Lake City; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Taylor, Joy Taylor, Deon Taylor, Ora Jensen. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Patriarch George Glen Taylor; daughter, Clo-een Taylor; brothers and sisters, La-Vaun Madsen, Phillo Madsen, Mary Madsen, Mable Maxine Madsen.
Services will be Tues. July 17, 2001 11 a.m. in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 85 N. Main. Friends may call at the chapel in Aurora Mon. 6-8 p.m. and again at the chapel Tues. 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial, Aurora Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby-Jensen Mortuary of Salina and Gunnison.
