LAYTON (AP) — Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving a Geo Tracker and a semitrailer truck Friday.

Killed was: Gina Wolfe, 39, Layton.

Injured in the accident were Wolfe's 19-year-old daughter, Jennie Jaques, Bountiful, who was driving the Geo, and Jaques' 8-month-old son, Noah, both of whom were transported to Ogden Regional Medical Center. The 28-year-old male driver of the truck was uninjured. Jaques and her son have both been released from the hospital with only minor injuries.

The accident occurred when Jaques, traveling east on U-193, made a left turn onto Hillfield Road and was struck on the passenger side by the semi traveling west on U-193, according to the Layton police traffic division.
