AMERICAN FORK — A week's worth of fun and frolic is planned for this year's Steel Days celebration.

The celebration starts today with a children's parade at 5:30 p.m. beginning a Lions Park, 300 W. 100 South, and ending at City Hall.

A street dance will be held outdoors on Wednesday at Main and Church streets from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The city's little ones are invited to compete in the beautiful baby contest, beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, at Rotary Park, 250 S. 200 East.

Also at Rotary Park, a vintage car show will be held Friday, and on Saturday, kids can try to catch a fish with their bare hands at 2 p.m.

The weeklong celebration concludes Saturday with a concert at 7:30 p.m. at American Fork High to be followed by a fireworks display. The concert features country music singer Bryan White.

Advance tickets can be purchased at American Fork City Hall, American Fork Albertson's or American Fork Smith's for $6. Tickets will be available the night of the concert for $8.
