Inez Lavin Loveday passed away on July 17, 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a brief illness.
Inez was a person with oodles of family and friends, each of who were enlivened by her good nature and enthusiasm. She added extra life and spark to every family or neighborhood party or program with which she was involved. Her special talent was creating specialty programs and adapting music to celebrate the occasion. She loved to play the piano and could pick out almost any tune by ear.
Inez's lifetime profession was that of a school teacher, with a specialty in teaching children to read, particularly those who had struggled. Her grandsons, other relatives, friends and her regular pupils were beneficiaries of her special skills and individual time.
Our dear mother has rejoined her lifetime companion, Lamont W. Loveday. They were married eternally on June 5, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. She has been lost without him for the last five years. She's also reuniting and caring for her only granddaughter to have preceded her in death, Celeste.
Inez is survived by her two sons: Paul L. Loveday of San Francisco and Gary L. Loveday of Sandy and three grandchildren Liesel, Lance and John Loveday; a brother, Ken (Beverly)
Lavin, sisters, Irene Hanson, Grace MacKay, Joyce (Keith) Parkin, and Melba Smith. Each of us will miss her vibrant spirit and the life and joy she brought into our lives. In addition to her husband and granddaughter, she is also preceded in death by a brother, and her father and mother.
