Utah Children names Crompton new director

SHARE Utah Children names Crompton new director

Karen Crompton, former Salt Lake County Commission and Salt County mayoral candidate, has been named executive director of Utah Children, a prominent child advocacy group.

Crompton, a native of Bountiful and University of Utah political science graduate who worked in management positions with Sears in Utah and in Chicago, officially takes the job on Aug. 1, replacing longtime director Roz McGee.

Utah Children, founded in 1985, is a statewide child advocacy organization and is a member of the National Association of Child Advocates. It has become a leader in researching and supporting policies that strengthen families and protect children.
