In honor of its 100th anniversary, the International Society of Daughters of Utah Pioneers is planning a special open house on July 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be pioneer games, stories, histories, museum tours and refreshments at the Pioneer Memorial Museum, 300 North Main.

The DUP was founded in 1901 when daughters of pioneers who arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in 1847 met at the home of Annie Taylor Hyde. The group began preserving and protecting artifacts and records of the pioneer era, many of which are on display at the museum.
