The Westbound Festival, presented by the Summit Institute, is waiving the general-admission price of $9 this weekend to make Saturday and Sunday's programming at Park City Mountain Resort free to the public.
"We wanted to give back to the community," said festival director Linda Bonar. "We had a very positive response last weekend, and we want to be sure that people have a chance to attend."
This weekend's programing focuses on "Contributions of Western Women." Activities include art displays, discussions, cowboy poetry, an art corral for kids and musical performances, including singer Tish Hinojosa, who sings tonight at 7:30 p.m.
The festival runs from 4-9 p.m. both days. For more information call 435-649-2315 or visit the festival's Web site at www.summitinstitute.org.
