Leave Microsoft alone

The federal government's scheme to break up Microsoft was never a plausible idea among those who respect the wisdom of consumers in a free market. Businesses such as Microsoft spend long hours creating the product and then selling it. Why should the government, at the prodding of Microsoft's competitors, interject itself into the free market with the intent of breaking up a company with a successful product?

Consumers are perfectly capable of choosing products that fulfill their need. The entire business community should be stressing to federal elected officials that with the latest decision, it is time to walk away from this nonsense and let Microsoft continue to do its business.
