Love Communications, a Salt Lake-based advertising agency, announced that Joe Evans has joined the agency as an account executive. Evans has eight years of experience in the industry. He will handle day-to-day account service responsibility for Love Communications clients.
The Society of Women Engineers has elected Rachel A.B. McQuillen as national president-elect. McQuillen is senior transportation engineer, project principal and manager of the Salt Lake office of Stanley Consultants Inc. She also serves as second vice president for the Utah Chapter of the American Public Works Association and is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers.
Mark I. Freeman has joined the Salt Lake office of Stanley Consultants Inc. as a transportation engineer. Freeman is a graduate of Brigham Young University and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has more than five years of experience in the industry.
Ashleigh Sinclair has joined Re/Max Brokers as a sales agent. She is a graduate of Alta High School and is a lifelong Utah resident.
Crossroads Plaza announced two additions to the mall's management and marketing team. Barry Smith has been named general manager, and Sarah Darke was appointed marketing director. Smith will oversee mall operations and maintenance, and mall improvements and developments. Darke will supervise marketing, promotions and events at Crossroads Plaza and oversee branding efforts in conjunction with the ZCMI Center.
Irwin Union Bank has named Keith Thompson as senior relationships manager of commercial lending at the new Utah branch. Thompson has 23 years of experience in commercial banking. He is a graduate of BYU and the Colorado School of Banking at the University of Colorado.
EmergeCore Networks, a Utah-based computer networking company, has announced several staff changes. Howard Bangerter will serve as quality assurance director. Asiel Brumfield was appointed quality assurance engineer, and Fred Westergard will oversee hardware quality assurance. Tracy Thornley was hired as senior product marketing manager. Wells Fargo has named Gary B. Cutler assistant vice president and trust officer for the Provo area. Cutler has more than 15 years of banking experience and is a certified trust and financial advisor. He is a graduate of BYU and the National Graduate Trust School.
Edward J. McCartney has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of Fidelity Investments' Western Region operations center in Salt Lake City. McCartney will lead Fidelity's customer service, sales and trading functions and will manage the company's local government affairs, communications and site services groups. He has been with the company since 1991.
The Intermountain Farmers Association has appointed John Nye to its board of directors. Nye, a Millard County dairyman, will represent IFA patrons in central Utah counties as well as the counties in central and northern Nevada. Nye also serves on the local Soil Conservation District board and is a member of the Young Dairy Institute.
Wasatch Crest Group Inc., a Utah-based commercial insurer, announced several changes to its board of directors and administration. Mark Finkelstein was appointed to the board of directors, replacing Steven W. Webersen. Harold C. Yancey retired from the board after serving eight years. The company announced the following officer appointments: John A. Igoe as president and chief operating officer; Charles E. Wilcox as executive vice president of field operations; Keith D.
