Chauncey LeRoy Webb, 92, died peacefully July 21, 2001, at the Draper Rehabil-itation Center after a long illness.

He was born October 6, 1908, the oldest of four children, to Lorenzo and Martha Elizabeth Webb of Eureka, Utah. Chauncey spent his early childhood in Mona, Utah. He attended Jordan High School. He married Lucille Marie Welch on July 23, 1927, who died in 1965, and he later married Rhea Bateman. Chauncey is the father of three children. Chauncey spent his career working for Kennecott Copper, Clearfield Air Force Base, and later in the commercial construction trade. He spent many days fly-fishing. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he dedicated many years to the Sunday School presidency.

He is survived by a brother, Ralph Webb of Salt Lake; a sister, Margaret Chivers of Salt Lake; a daughter, Cheryl Marie Turner of Idaho; step-children, Glenda Lehmkuhl of Salt Lake and Lynn Shelton of Salt Lake; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Webb; many grandchildren and great-grand children. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lucille, wife Rhea, daughter Lois Densley, son Gerald Webb, brother Eldon Webb, and sister Bea Gill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cannon Mortuary located at 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at the South Jordan City Cemetery. The family wishes to extend appreciation for the may years of loving care provided by the doctors, nurses, and staff of Draper Rehabilitation Center.
