The Kingston Trio, Michael Sorbonne Robinson (a k a the "Millennial Cowboy") and a cappella group InsideOut will perform along the Wasatch Front this week.

MICHAEL SORBONNE ROBINSON, the Millennial Cowboy, will perform his music, poetry and humor as part of the Greenshow activities Thursday-Saturday, July 26-28, on the lawn adjacent to Salt Lake Community College's Alder Amphitheater, prior to performances of "Bands of Iron, Rings of Gold." The cowboy poet/songwriter has said his lyrics and poetry "boil down all the themes of life into their most basic components. They make an audience reflect on the most important values of our existence." The free Greenshow events begin at 7 p.m. at SLCC's Redwood Road campus. The main stage production of "Bands of Iron," begins at 8 p.m.

THE KINGSTON TRIO will be in concert Saturday, July 28, at 8 p.m. at the Sandy City Amphitheater. The trio first gained international stardom with its 1958 hit, "Tom Dooley," and continues to tour nearly 30 weeks a year. By 1959, the trio had four albums listed in Billboard Magazine's Top 10, a feat that has not been surpassed. Only lawn seating is available for this performance. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for senior citizens. Call 568-6097 for reservations or further information.

INSIDEOUT, a popular Utah County vocal group, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, in Viewmont High School, Bountiful. Tickets — $8 for adults, $7 for students and $5 for children, 11 and under — may be purchased in advance from Deseret Book (Bountiful store only) and Carr's Stationery.
