Settle Microsoft case

SHARE Settle Microsoft case

I have been following the Microsoft antitrust trial for three years now, and the ruling last week was wonderful news. Finally, those of us who rely on technology every day have been considered by the courts. The whole purpose of the antitrust actions is to protect consumers. I wasn't happy that the government took the role of Big Brother and acted as if its responsibility was not to us but to Microsoft's competitors.

The billiondollar corporations that compete in the technology market should be taking care of themselves and not using "political debts" from our federal officials to do their work for them. The government's scheme to break up Microsoft failed. Let's go back to square one. Before we waste another three years, I think it's best for the government to find a way to settle this case and move on.
