Many of Utah's chefs will fight hunger with good taste at Solitude Mountain Resort on Sunday, Aug. 19, from noon to 4 p.m. Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation, presented by American Express, is the largest nationwide culinary benefit supporting anti-hunger and anti-poverty efforts. Utah held its first Taste of the Nation last year and raised more than $33,000 for Utahns Against Hunger and other community anti-poverty efforts.
Participating restaurants are Bambara, Lugano's, Snake Creek Grill, Sage Grill, Solitude, Cucina, Liberty Heights Fresh, Santa Fe, Ruth's Diner, Sundance, P.F. Changs China Bistro, Deer Valley, Wildflower, Rooster's, Squatters, Grand Summit, Log Haven, Rico's Mexican Market, Goldener Hirsch, Bistro Toujour, Metropolitan, Tuscany/Amelia, Chez Betty.
Tickets are $55 per person; children under 10 are free. A group of 10 tickets can be purchased for $500. They are available at Liberty Heights Fresh and Tony Caputo's Market & Deli in Salt Lake City, Wasatch Brew Pub in Park City or through SmithTix outlets (1-800-888-TIXX) and Utahns Against Hunger at 801-328-2561 or 800-453-3663.
