The temperature outside may be hovering near 100 degrees, but it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around Franklin Covey Field — which will host the Salt Lake Stingers' "Christmas in July" charity fund-raiser at the team's game against Calgary on Saturday.
All fans planning to attend the game are being asked to bring new, unopened toys as gifts for children at Primary Children's Medical Center. The toys will be collected at the Franklin Covey Field ticket window prior to the Stingers-Cannons game, which begins at 7 p.m. And the Stingers will offer a $1 discount off a general admission ticket for any fan making a toy donation.
Santa will also be available to meet with children attending the game. They can sit on his lap for photos throughout the evening.
The Stingers and their wives will deliver the gifts and other donations to Primary Children's Medical Center on Monday, July 30.
