Warner Bros. is encouraging fans to celebrate the birthday of fictional wizard-child Harry Potter.

The studio has set up an electronic birthday card on its Web site for the upcoming movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," based on the first of the best-selling children's books by J.K. Rowling.

Potter, known as the "Boy Who Lived" because he survived a deadly attack by the wicked warlock Lord Voldemort, was born on July 31, according to the books.

The CBS Early Show plans to televise a birthday party in New York City, with a Harry Potter look-alike contest, balloons, cake and a 6-foot birthday card.

Harry Potter is 11 years old in the first book and 14 years old by the fourth and latest installment, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."

The Warner Bros. film is scheduled to open Nov. 16.
