A West Jordan man was charged with stabbing a couple in their Sandy home last week.
The 24-year-old man was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, two counts of attempted criminal homicide, a first-degree felony, and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
At 7 a.m. Thursday, a man entered a home and stabbed a woman in the head and hand and a man in the head as he said he was going to kill them, charges state.
Minutes later the man went to an acquaintance's house and pounded on a door to get inside, charges state. The woman inside noticed blood on his hands, arms and legs, ran from the house and contacted police, charges state.
While the man was inside a police car he kicked out a window, charges state.
During questioning, the man told police he stabbed the couple, charges state, but when asked why, he had no answer.
