Ruth Davis Marsh died July 2, 2001, born in Salt Lake City, September 30, 1915, to Joseph C. and Hildur Peterson Davis.

She married William A. Marsh on December 1, 1945. He preceded her in death.

Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the Sunday School, Young Women's Mutual, and 30 years in the Primary Organization.

She was a member of the Southeast Lady Lions (their first president, and still active at the time of her death), a member of Ladies of Elks (president of Lodge 85 and later active in Cottonwood Murray Lodge), and represented the Elks in the Salt Lake Council of Women. She was also a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians. Ruth bowled many years with the Ambassador Club Ladies and the Ambassador Club mixed league with her husband, golfed many years with the Meadow Brook Ladies, and loved to play bridge.

For many years she worked with her husband in their appliance repair business. After selling it they took many wonderful trips together.

She is survived by her two sons, William A. (Christine) Marsh, West Valley; R. Gibb (Marilee) Marsh, Sandy; grandchildren, Philip Marsh, Alexandria, Virginia; Karen (Jeffery) Young, West Jordan; Melissa (Ryan) Park, West Valley; Michelle (Barry) Orton, Cedar City; Kevin, and David Marsh, both of Sandy; also three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 6, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Mountain View 1st Ward, 1400 S. 1900 E. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday July 5, 2001, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr., and one hour prior to services at the Ward. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Beaumont Section.
