Elizabeth Baumgarten, 29, passed away from melanoma June 28, 2001 at the University of Utah Medical Center.
Born on January 29, 1972 in San Bernadino, Ca.
Liz is survived by her daughter Emma Rose, her parents, James N. and Geraldine Baumgarten and seven brothers and sisters, LeeAnn (Anthony) Cummings; Cheryl (Karl) Radmall; Jeanne (Douglas) Slater; Paul M. (Wendy) Baumgarten; J. Alan (Sharry) Baumgarten; Steven F. (Christine) Baumgarten; and Mark J.
(Rebecca) Baumgarten. She is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her uncle John L. Baumgarten.
Elizabeth graduated from Timpview High School in 1990. She attended BYU Hawaii and Brigham Young University before filling an LDS mission to Raleigh North Carolina in 1993-94. Since 1996 Elizabeth has faced the challenge of having cancer with uncommon courage and she chose to live a full and joyful life. She attended a semester abroad in Vienna and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Art History in 1998.
Elizabeth was laid to rest in Alpine, Utah. A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1875 No. 280 W. Orem, Utah on Saturday, July 7 at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to visit with the family an hour before services. Funeral arrangements by Berg Mortuary of Provo.
