On June 29, 2001, Rhea Jarrell Smith was gathered in the arms of her eternal husband and carried home to her Father in Heaven.

Rhea had a wonderful and long life, born July 1, 1914 to Walter Jarrell and Sarah Dye Jarrell, Rhea was the sixth of seven children. On June 24, 1935 Rhea was married to Wells W. Smith and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Rhea had four children and was and active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a zeal for life that was evident when she often reminisced with family and friends about the wonderful times she and Wells had spent. Rhea will be remembered for her friendship to others and for her kindness.

Love makes the imperfections and trials in life fade away. Rhea, your greatest gift was your love. Until we meet again, remember we love you and keep you in our hearts...Your Family.

Survived by daughters Sharon Amott and Cathy Walton (Bob); son, Orvil Kent Smith (Sandra); sister, Belva Nelson; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Wells W. Smith; son, Darrell; son-in-law, Michael Amott; mother and father; and grandson, Darrell Knapton.

Funeral services Friday, July 6th at 12 Noon, Winder 6th Ward, 4360 South 1500 East. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m., Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the ward. Interment Lake Hills Memorial Park, 10055 South States Street, Sandy.
